The League for Digital Boost is summarizing activities

Within the second quarter of this year, we have been able to make progress in several areas:

  • group of Ambassadors is increasing, currently, 14 distinguished stakeholders from the region and Brussels joined the initiative

  • we received a patronage of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic

  • we organized several discussions, including:

    • we held a number of policy working groups in Slovakia focused on brainstorming how we could increase the digitalization of SMEs in terms of implementation of business strategies and processes, knowledge about opportunities of financing digitalization or increasing the digital skills of employees, including the creation of policy recommendations

    • webinar on the Hungarian ecosystem and the digital transformation of SMEs and the role of key stakeholders, lessons learned and opportunities to boost SMEs digitalization in cooperation with our Hungarian partner Startup Hungary

    • we confirmed a content partnership at the GLOBSEC FORUM 2022 held earlier in June. The session was focused on the sharing best practices from Estonia or Finland and the participants discussed how could the cooperation between the government, business and third sector looks like to change the mindset of SMEs so they are more willing to invest more into digitalization

    • we expanded and increased activities in Brussels; our recent event was organized last week and in cooperation with Mr Ivan Štefanec and SME connect in the European Parliament with members of the EP and stakeholders from the region 

  • we collected the information about the level of digitalization, including the summary of suggested policy recommendations in each country in the region where we held our activities - Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary as well as Poland - the individual so-called Country Findings.

  • we described the level of digitalization of SMEs in CEE in the so-called Comprehensive Paper.

We are currently working on several fronts, and we will continue in the upcoming months to:

  • collect feedbacks from representatives of SMEs and help them understand the value added of being more digital

  • prepare and launch an online portal for SMEs to help them navigate through digital transformation - more information will be shared with you in the upcoming weeks

  • confirm new partnerships in Slovakia and the region 

  • we will continue with a series of events after the summer season and will be active on blogs, and social media
