Regional innovation tour Lučenec

This time with our REGIONAL INNOVATION TOUR 🇸🇰 we visited Lučenec.

We had a discussion about the state of innovation in Slovak regions in a diverse composition, while we are much pleased by the fact that several of its participants returned home after their work abroad to help develop the country and the region.

Peter Balík from Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic presented financing options through the new Operational Program Slovakia and the Just Transformation Fund.

Dr. Pavel Laczko from the Government Office highlighted the need for a positive vision of Slovakia and the importance of the newly prepared National Strategy for Research, Development and Innovation. In addition, he also mentioned the possibilities of financing through the Recovery Plan.

Vladimír Mužila from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the BB region also spoke about his own success story in connection with innovations in his company AGRO CS and his endurance even while facing numerous obstacles on the way.

Our colleague Juraj Popovič also presented the project Hopero - the European Center for Digital Innovations to help small and medium-sized companies and public administration bodies with their digital transformation.

In this group, together with Daniel Kojnok from the Innovation Development Center and Kristína Poláková from the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency, we talked about obstacles, which are mainly bureaucratic and administrative and discourage entrepreneurs from innovating. We agreed on the need for systemic changes, improvement of legislation also following the example of neighboring countries, and the need to link policies with financing.
