Empowering Innovation and Collaboration: Highlights from the SME Assembly 2023 in Bilbao, Spain

This year's SME Assembly in Bilbao, Spain has been truly inspiring event! On Monday it has begun with Schumpeter lecture delivered by professor Sarasvathy from University of Virginia. A so-called effectual model of entrepreneurship was presented, based on co-creative collaborations where you create a market instead of trying to predict your success in an existing one. The second day was full of workshops and interactive discussions on various aspects of SME support. The finals of European Enterprise Promotion Awards featured various truly inspiring accelerators, business organizations and NGOs active in the spaces of digital, circular economy, inclusion and green transition. Today young entrepreneurs from around Europe presented their innovative solutions that address global challenges.

The key outcome of this event was the realization that Europe has abundance of talent, which is working hard on not only starting new businesses, but also finding very deep purpose in it. Looking forward to the next SME Assembly.
